Rivera, Gianni (1943 -), Italian footballer, striker, the youngest player to have played in first division Italian.

Gianni Rivera was born in Valle San Bartolomeo (Italy). He began playing in first division at the age of fifteen years and ten months in the club Alessandria. Moving at the age of seventeen years at AC Milan earned him the nickname 'Bambino de Oro. He played 514 matches and scored 127 goals in Serie A. His record is provided: three Italian championships (1962, 1968 and 1979), four Italian Cups (1967, 1972, 1973 and 1977), two European Cups Champion Clubs (1963, 1969), two Cups Winners Cup (1968, 1973) and an Intercontinental Cup in 1969, which led to his being named this year the European Golden Ball.

With the Italian team, he was selected 60 times, scored 14 goals and participated in four World Cups (1962, 1966, 1970 and 1974). He played the final of the 1970, losing, despite the presence alongside him of Sandro Mazzola and Luigi Riva, before Brazil's Pele after eliminated in a semifinal outstanding Federal Republic of Germany Franz Beckenbauer scoring a goal in extra time.
