The contest is open to candidate (s) of all nationalities and is designed promote mainly young talents in the doamine of opera. It will run from June 22 to 25, 2011, under the opera festival of the great festivals of Aries. Candidates must have, at the date of the contest between 18 and 32 years for sopranos, tenors and mezzos and between 18 and 35 years for baritones and basses. They must submit five arias from operas which at least in French and at least one Italian. Chaired by Raymond Duffaut, Choregies director of Orange, the competition is composed of persons known to the world of singing and music, including this year: Alain Duault, Thierry Fouquet, director del opera Bordeaux, Gaëlle Legallic, producer and presenter on France Musique, Richard Martet, director of Opera Magazine, Beatrice Uria-Monzon.
